After 9 hours in the plane from Jeddah, we landed in Kuala Lumpur at 0:50. It took us some 30 min to go through the customs as I didn't fill the questionnaire on the "mysejahtera app" for Sam to make declaration related to our Covid-19 situation. I actually did it for Samsntha as dependant on my App, but it doesn't seem to be what they were expecting. Taking back the luggage was relatively quick, as everybody had already collected their bags, but to realise that 1 suitcase was missing, the one with all the clothes from Abel and Sam. It took us up to 3:10 a.m. to fill the complaint of missing luggage. Then another 10 min to find an ATM which was operating and had cash.
The taxi booked on line was waiting for us , but we had to pay an extra 100 ringit. We reached Grand Millenium hotel Kuala lumpur at 4:00 am.
Sleeping around 5:30. Woke up at 9:30 and got quickly ready to take a breakfast at the Grand Millenium restaurant. Sam & Abel continued to sleep..back in the room by 10:30, I slept again up to 13:00. We slowly got ready, and walked to Pavillion Mall.
The entrance is only 100m down thee street fro. Grand Millenium hotel.
We stopped at 1 of the first restaurant which crossed our way, O'galeto Mediterranean restaurant and ordered 1 draught beer, the first one for quote a long time.
We then made some little shopping in the mall to buy few clothes for Sam and Abel, since their bag didn't reach us yet.
After dropping the purchases in our hotel room, we crossed Pavillion Mall, followed some walking bridges on few 100 meters, and reached Aquaria, the Kuala Lumpur aquarium that we visited from 17:30 to 19:30.
Back to the hotel to rest a bit. Abel felt asleep and only woke up at 21:30. We went out to find a restaurant,.but most are closing around 22:00, except few up to 23:00, and Arabic restaurant opening much later for Ramadan at least.
We eventually found a Japanese restaurant, Tokyo restaurant, on the 4th floor of a mall, just opposite side of Grand Millenium hotel. Arrived at 22:00, the cook accepted to serve us. The food was delicious.
By 23:00, we were the last customers out. We continued for a walk in the area, looking for a view.of the Petronas tower, that we eventually briefly saw between the numerous skyscrapers.
The streets in Bukit Bintang are occupied by famous brand shops: Louis Vuitton, Saint-Laurent, Miu-miu, Zara...
